The Future I Want to Create

The Future I Want to Create

Academic medical centers are vibrant communities fueled by ideas, curiosity and knowledge. There’s always something new to learn, examine, evaluate and consider – and plenty of people who want to take up the challenge of finding innovative answers and solutions.

Each time I hear one of our University of Michigan trainees or students share his or her story – what they want to accomplish, what motivated them to choose a career in health care or biomedical science, why they chose Michigan – I am incredibly inspired, and I’m reminded why the U of M is such a special place. These are people who want to change the world, and when you hear what they have to say, you will believe that they will do it. I know I do.

I want more people to hear these stories and to understand more deeply what it means to be part of this extraordinary learning community. So, I invite you to meet the following remarkable future leaders and best, and to read about the futures they want to create — in their own words.
